Asawasi St. Theresa's Co-operative Credit Union (ASTCCU) is a financial co-operative organization which is owned by all members. Members elect Board of Directors (BOD) who are responsible for the management and directions of the Union's activities. The BOD, Loans and Supervisory Committees are elected during Annual General Meeting (AGM).

It is the responsibility of the BOD to recruit a Managing Director or Manager and who also in turn recruits other staff to be in charge of the day-to-day administration of the Union in consultation with the BOD.

The Loans Committee vets, approves or rejects loan applications and monitor loans granted whilst the Supervisory Committee plays the role of an Internal Auditor to ensure that all committees and staff perform their duties as inspected. The Education Committee which is an ad hoc committee appointed by the BOD also serves as the marketing department of the credit union, they propagate or educate members on the products and services as well as the necessary policies of the Credit Union to the general public.

The Manager/Manageress is in-charge of the daily administration of the Credit Union. She is also assisted by a Loans Officers, Branch Officers, Cashiers and Mobile Bankers.

ASTCCU presently operates on the premises of Asawasi Roman Catholic Church, Asawasi Kumasi with a banking hall and the Manageress' office, staff common room, Kejetia branch and newly established branch at Aprade in the Asokore-Mampong Municipal in the Ashanti Region. The Credit Union currently has staff strength of over thirty (30) including Mobile Bankers, securities and cleaners.
